In today’s technology-driven world, data privacy is becoming increasingly important. Companies that once focused on asking what data is being collected and how it’s being used are now asking how tech partners are protecting that data. While we’re seeing different levels of maturity when it comes to addressing data privacy and security in the industry, one thing is certain: we’re all continuously taking additional steps to ensure data is properly protected.
To that end, Innovid has successfully completed the Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type 2 audit, which is designed to provide detailed information and assurance about an organization’s security, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy controls based on its compliance with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (AICPA) Trust Services Criteria. As a part of the process, auditors examined the controls Innovid currently has in place across various areas of the organization to ensure they appropriately addressed risks and met industry standards. Over the course of six months, the auditors reviewed our policies, infrastructure, alerts and monitoring, and more. They even checked the physical access to our office spaces.
It’s one thing to say that Innovid takes security and data privacy seriously; it’s another to have an external auditor evaluate our controls and confirm that we have well-defined policies, procedures, and practices. Data privacy has always been of utmost importance at Innovid, and the SOC 2 audit is just one part of our ongoing commitment to ensure the safety and confidentiality of the data we work with while delivering superior omni-channel advertising experiences for brands, agencies, and publishers.
